    30 December 2016

ETLG Inertial Aerosystems has announced that the 700-Series Platform and Surface Mount Tiltmeters are now shipping from its UK distribution base.

The tiltmeters are dual-axis analogue output devices manufactured by Jewell Instruments in the USA.

700-Series Tiltmeters are designed for geotechnical and geophysical projects in remote locations and rugged field conditions, boasting:

    • Ultra high sensitivity
    • Low power consumption
    • Durability
    • Reliability
    • Splash resistant
    • Bolts or clamps to any surface

The devices provide years of trouble-free service in industrial and laboratory applications.

    Tiltmeter Usage

700-Series devices are used around the world for monitoring earth and structural deformation at a range of sites and locations:

    • Dam sites
    • Tunnels
    • Volcanoes
    • Power plants
    • Engineering locations
    • Labs
    • Bridges
    • Highways

    Tiltmeter Variants

Platform and surface mount tiltmeters both consist of an an aluminium or stainless steel base plate and cover, sensors, a printed circuit board, connectors and switches.

    • Platform tiltmeters have adjustable legs that can achieve a level positioning on practically any surface.
    • Surface mount tiltmeters are mounted over studs using holes in the base plate; nuts are used to secure the devices in position for long-term measurements. Different models can be mounted on the floor, wall and ceiling.

ETLG Inertial Aerosystems uses different model numbers for the tiltmeters represent the various aluminium and stainless steel variants.
